ALEXANDRA VELEZ, PRESIDENT
Welcome to Wings of Empowerment (WOE).
It is an honor to serve as President of WOE. An organization that its mission is "Empowering & strengthening youth & families to inspire life-long changes of well-being & to embark in a spiritual journey".
As President of WOE, I am committed to developing leaders of tomorrow, to assist members to achieve their set goals, and to empower them to make positive changes to live a happier life. I truly believe that when a family grows together mentally & spiritually, sets goals and is open to communication we begin to create a community of leaders, and successful, proud & happy individuals. I invite you to join the Wings Of Empowerment family & look forward to working with you.
ELIANA FAJARDO, TREASURER
Eliana Fajardo EA, Treasurer of WEO. My mission is being the bridge to help our youth become the leaders of tomorrow and be fearless. As a child I was very shy, and I realized it when I was an adult (in my 40ths). I lost many opportunities in life because of my timidity and I don’t want it to happen to our youth. If the world has happy families having the same core values, the quality of life exponentially increases.

I know the need we have like a society to help our children and youth to become leaders and support our community. Together we can make the difference spreading the love and service to others.
PILAR DELGADO, DIRECTOR PUBLIC RELATIONS
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Pilar Delgado is a descendent of parents from Puerto Rico. She was one of six brothers and sisters thus, sharing wasn't an option, it was a requirement. Raised in the projects of NYC, Pilar was never mindful of their "low-income status." As visionaries, Pilar's parents taught their children to forge forward and persevere, to be the best one can be and most importantly, "always give back". After her marriage, Pilar and her husband embarked in a new journey, choosing the American Dream of becoming home owners and starting a family of their own. After the both of her two sons, Pilar's desire to perserve her family roots became a priority.
As a result, thereof in 1997, Pilar became the Director of La Union Hispanica. It was at that time she realized that she had found her purpose, which was to serve the Hispanic community.
This determination led Pilar to assuming a position as a Board member for Adelante of Suffolk County. Consequently, when the position of Director became available Pilar without hesitation applied for the job and earned her title as Director.
